Children can play in manysettings, including at home,in classroom, on outdoor playground, and  in the local community.Each of these environments offers its own revelations,affecting children's well-being and physical activity levels in different ways.Of particular interest, in the current study, is the outdoor playground as a physical play environment. Outdoor playgrounds provide several affordances and play behaviors to children—climbing-on, climbing-off, jumping-on, jumping-off, swinging-on, swinging-off, running-on, and running-off .The ability of a child to move freely in an outdoor playground encironment wiyhout adult control not only allows the child to fulfill the function of an outdoor playground,but also enhances his or her level of phyical activity.
